EPOS General Director Stavridis Jordan - Shi Yan Zhuo [chin .: shì yán zhuō 释延卓], official representative of Shaolin Culture in Greece and General Director of the Athens Shaolin Cultural Centre Katakalaios Dimitris - Shi Yan Kong [chin .: shìyánkōng 释延空], visited Stanford University, in San Francisco, on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 4.00 pm [local time], following an official invitation from Shaolin Temple, in order to attend the Cultural Forum "Shaolin Ancient Wisdom in Modern Age" [chin .: shàolín zhìhuì zài dāngdài 少林 智慧 在 当代]. The meeting was held in the Paul Brest Hall at Stanford University as part of the Cultural Festival of the USA Shaolin Temple.

At the forum participated, Professor David Spiegel, Deputy Chairman of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Director of the Center on Stress and Health and Medical Director of the Center for Holistic Medicine at Stanford University Medical School, Professor Tia Rich from Stanford, Senior Specialist in Health Promotion, Director of Awareness Program, Chade Meng Tan pioneer engineer at Google and accomplished writer, Paula Bailey, Coordinator of the Center for Biomedical Ethics at Stanford, Master Shi Yan Lin [chin .: shàolínsì jiān yuàn yán lín fǎshī 少林寺监院延琳法师], High Priest of the Shaolin temple and Director of Shaolin Pharmacy, High Priest of the Shui Yu temple , Shi Yan Kai [chin .: shuǐ yù sì zhùchí yán kāi fǎshī 水峪寺住持延开法师] and Master Shi Yan Ran [chin .: yán rán fǎshī 延然法师], General Director of the USA Shaolin Temple.

At the forum were mentioned University studies and researches, that have incorporated Chan Meditation and Shaolin culture in psychiatric and holistic therapies, hypnosis and neuroses treatments, stress treatment and much more, with immediate and significant results. At the end of the lecture, the speakers answered questions from the audience, and then, the Shaolin monks invited the attendees to take part together in a program of therapeutic exercises, relaxation from stress and energy stimulation.

Stanford University cooperates with the Shaolin Temple, in areas concerning health and personal life improvement. It explores the relationship between mind and body, the way in which Chan meditation effects and reduces stress as well as the role of qi in health.
