Η 1η διαδικασία αξιολόγησης της διδακτέας ύλης

On Sunday, February 24, 2019, the teachers who belong to Shaolin Master Shi Yan Zhuo's lineage, gathered at the Hellenic Shaolin Temple Cultural Center headquarters in Loutsa, for the first internal evaluation process of the curriculum and its teaching methods. After almost a decade of teaching of the curriculum created by EPOS, it has become necessary to restructure, rationalize and manage it.

The main criteria that led to this decision were:

1. Shaolin Kung Fu is by no means sport and has nothing to do with the performance of the athlete, but with the individual's development and self-cultivation.

2. The temporal deterioration of teaching and its adaptation, in order to be understood in modern society, makes it difficult to preserve tradition to the eroded demands of today.

In view of the above, it was considered necessary to re-evaluate and organize the curriculum while sharing experiences gained through long-term teaching to students of different ages, in order to achieve a better learning outcome in teaching. Adapting teaching to better understanding and keeping the integrity of the genealogy at the same time, so that there are no deviations and elements that are inconsistent with Shaolin spirit, while at the same time harmonizing with the modern way of life.

Hellenic Shaolin Temple Cultural Center, differentiating its position, insists that a most familiar form can become dear to more and spread more quickly, but loses its historical character, leads to lack of Chan understanding, and sooner or later it is altered and assimilated into a generality called modern martial arts. Shaolin cultural heritage is an inheritance for the benefit of future generations, a bequest of intellectuals, and we must protect and transmit it, just as we have received it from our Masters who for many centuries have kept it and taught it. Stated  Master Shi Yan Zhuo, EPOS General Director, at the end of the meeting.
