On the weekend of May 31 and June 1, 2025, the fourth educational seminar of the new Shaolin Kung Fu Duan Evaluation System (Chin: Shàolín gōngfū duàn pǐn zhì 少林功夫段品制) was held with great success at the Headquarters of the Greek Shaolin Cultural Organization (EPOS) in Artemis, officially marking the beginning of the 2nd Training Cycle in the new Official Teaching System of the Shaolin Temple.

The presence of Shi Yan Jia – Stavridou Alexandra (Chinese: Shì yán jiā 释延佳), a renowned teacher with deep knowledge of the Shaolin tradition, gave special prestige to the seminar. With the support of the founder of the EPOS, Shi Yan Zhuo (Chinese: Shì yán zhuó 释延卓), and its President, Shi Yan Kung (Chinese: Shì yán kōng 释延空), the event highlighted the authentic nature of the education and the importance of faithfully transmitting the Shaolin heritage.

In the context of two intensive four-hour sessions, the participants were trained in the first sets of Double Shadow Fighting Tui Lian (Chinese: Duì liàn 对练), approaching the techniques, flow and application with precision and discipline. The level of teaching was high and demanding, offering those present a unique experience of deepening in the multidimensional forms of Shaolin Kung Fu.

The new Shaolin Kung Fu Duan Pin represents a modern way of assessing the skills and progress of students, through structured levels and clear criteria. At the same time, it maintains the essence of the tradition intact, integrating the spirituality and moral values ​​of Shaolin into the learning process.

Beyond physical training, the seminar also highlighted the inner dimension of the art. Participants came into contact with the fundamental principles of Shaolin – discipline, concentration, stability and the connection of body and mind. This experience served as a bridge between technical excellence and the philosophical basis of Shaolin, strengthening the inner cultivation of the practitioners.

EPOS continues to be a hub for the authentic transmission of Shaolin knowledge in Greece, promoting excellence, tradition and inner transformation through martial arts.
