Gou Shi [chin.: gōu shì zhèn 緱氏 鎮], the birthplace of Eminent Monk Xuan Jang [chin.: xuán zàng 玄奘, 602 ~ 664], was visited according to the cultural program, by the EPOS mission, on Wednesday July 20, 2016, in order to get to know the place where the famous Chinese seeker was born and lived.

The Greek mission, after getting permission from the competent body, visited the house in which Xuan Zang grew and master Shi Yan Kong, made the tour of the premises and referred to facts about the life of the prominent monk, his travel in India and his great translation work.

Then master Shi Yan Zhuo, invited male and female students at the courtyard and spoke about the importance of the work of Xuan Zang and seizing the opportunity, initiated a four-hour morning teaching and practice session with masters and students of EPOS, in the "Martial Arts of the Traditional Orthodox Shaolin" School skills [chin.: Shàolín chuántǒng zhèngzōng wǔgōng 少林 传统 正宗 武功].

Masters Shi Yan Zhuo and Shi Yan Kong, left the mission to enjoy the idyllic scenery and breathtaking nature, making Shaolin Rou Quan and Chi Gong, under the guidance of master Altanis Theodore, as they were called by the nearby culture office.

Under the escort of the office manager, toured the place in which was launched a vast area redevelopment project. Greek masters had the opportunity to see and study closely manuscripts and other historical relics, such as texts from the Western Regions Large Files of the Tang Dynasty [chin.: dà táng xīyù jì 大唐 西域 记], and the Sutra of Sublime and Perfect Wisdom [chin.: Bōrě Bōluómìduō Jīng 摩诃 般若 波罗蜜 多 经, Sanskr .: Mahāprajñāpāramitā Sūtra], which is the peak of the translation work of Xuan Zang and is considered a Spiritual treasure for all Humanity.
