The Hellenic Shaolin Cultural Center is closely following the recent developments concerning the Shaolin Monastery in China and its leadership.
According to official statements issued by relevant Chinese and Buddhist authorities, the former abbot of the Temple, Mr. Shi Yongxin, has been placed under internal and administrative investigation, resulting in the revocation of his monastic status and the appointment of a new leadership at the Shaolin Monastery.
As an independent institution devoted to cultural and spiritual study, the Hellenic Shaolin Cultural Center does not take a position regarding internal administrative matters or individuals, but expresses its deep respect for the longstanding tradition and cultural legacy of Shaolin.
Our mission remains unchanged:
✅ To promote the philosophy and principles of Shaolin in Greece,
✅ To study and disseminate Chan, Kung Fu, and the cultivation of body and mind,
✅ To preserve the spirit of balance, self-awareness, and harmonious coexistence.
In this spirit, we will continue our work with consistency and responsibility, in service to our community, teachers, practitioners, and all those inspired by the Shaolin tradition.
