With a sense of pride and joy, on Saturday, June 28, 2025, the official evaluation process of the students of the Shaolin Center Pyrgos “Phoenix” was successfully completed at the Center’s premises. This significant event was held under the auspices and coordination of the Hellenic Cultural Shaolin Center (H.C.S.C.), once again affirming the commitment of all members of the organization to preserve and promote the authentic Shaolin Culture in Greece.

The evaluations were conducted in full compliance with the Official Evaluation System and the established Curriculum, which serve as the cornerstone for the thorough and accurate learning of the principles, techniques, and philosophy embodied by the Cultural Heritage of Shaolin. The process was distinguished by discipline, high moral standards, and respect for the values of the Shaolin Way, showcasing the progress, meticulous preparation, and deep understanding demonstrated by the students at every level.

According to the Internal Regulations of the H.C.S.C., Chairman of the Evaluation Committee was the President of the Organization, Master Dimitris Katakalaios, whose experience and guidance ensured the precision and impartiality of the process.

Alongside him, as members of the Evaluation Committee, participated distinguished teachers and instructors with many years of expertise:

The Head of Curriculum of the H.C.S.C., Master Alexandra Stavridou, representing the Shaolin Center of Artemida “Aristomachos”,

Master Panagiotis Kapatsoulias,

Instructor Christina Karoubali of the local Shaolin Center Pyrgos “Phoenix”,

Master Andrew Banner of the “White Lotus” Center,

Master Efi Antoniou of the Shaolin Center “Anemos”, and

Master Marios Stavrakos of the “Golden Tiger” Center.

The overall supervision of all proceedings was held by the Founder of the Hellenic Cultural Shaolin Organization, Master Iordanis Stavridis, whose presence and invaluable contribution lent special gravity and prestige to the event.

During the evaluation, the students had the opportunity to present with humility and confidence the skills and knowledge they acquired through their systematic training. The process included demonstration of techniques, theoretical knowledge, and application of practical exercises, always guided by respect for tradition and the high ideals of Shaolin. The committee noted with great satisfaction the high level of progress, diligence, and profound understanding of the teachings demonstrated by the participants.

The successful completion of this evaluation marks yet another significant milestone in the journey of the Shaolin Center Pyrgos “Phoenix,” which consistently and devotedly contributes to the promotion of Shaolin Culture, passing on to the younger generations the values of self-discipline, courtesy, inner strength, and harmonious coexistence.

The Hellenic Cultural Shaolin Center and all contributors to the organization warmly congratulate the students who took part, acknowledging their tireless efforts and the integrity they demonstrated. The successful outcome of the evaluations confirms the high standard of their training and preparation, as well as their unwavering commitment to the principles and ideals represented by this great tradition.

The Evaluation Session [Chin .: kǎo gōng huìyì 考 功 会议] is part of Shaolin Cultural Heritage and for this reason it has significant weight, as it gives validity to the systematic study of Shaolin Cultural Culture and raises the level of Shaolin techniques and theory of martial arts. The evaluation process and criteria are based on the Hellenic Shaolin Kung Fu Duan Wei Evaluation & Certification System [ Mobile: Xīlà Shǎolín Gōngfū Duànwèizhì, 少林 功夫 段位 制], specially set up by The Hellenic Shaolin Cultural Organization [EPOS] .
